What is a good fiber supplement for children?

it has to be a natural alternative.
Answer:
Hi Jelly bird1
A list of high fiber foods helps you know which foods to include in daily meal planning for your children. Here are typical high fiber foods along with the approximate number of grams of fiber they contain.
鈥?Bananas, 3 grams - medium 8" long
鈥?Beans, 6-10 grams - baked beans, black beans, great northern beans, kidney beans, garbanzos, pinto beans, white beans
鈥?Berries, 4-5 grams - blackberries, raspberries
鈥?Bran Cereals, 5-10 grams - All-Bran, Bran Buds, 100% Bran, Raisin Bran
鈥?Bread, 4-7 grams - 2 slices whole wheat, pumpernickel, seven-grain
鈥?Broccoli, 4-5 grams
鈥?Brussels Sprouts, 2 grams
鈥?Carrots, 3-4 grams
鈥?Dried Figs, 10 grams - 3 figs
鈥?Fruit, 4 grams - medium apple, medium pear
鈥?Green Beans, 2 grams - broad beans, pole beans, snap beans
鈥?Greens, 4-6 grams - beet greens, collards, kale, spinach, turnip greens
鈥?Lentils, 6 grams
鈥?Lima Beans - 4-6 grams
鈥?Peas, 7-9 grams - black-eyed peas, green peas
鈥?Potatoes, 4-5 grams - medium baked Idaho or sweet potato
鈥?Sweet Corn, 5 grams
Using the list of high fiber foods and including more of the foods from the list can help increase daily fiber consumption so important for normal bowel function. Also important is that adequate liquid be present for good bowel function.

I have used a product called "Omega-3" for my 3 children. It is a combo of crushed flax seeds along with beet powder and some powdered superfoods. I tastes kind of nutty and they love it in their applesauce. (When they were about 3, they wouldn't eat applesauce without it.)It comes in a gold pouch and I usually find it in the supplement section of the health food store. I use it off and on to be sure their systems stay healthy.
I would buy a bunch of fruit leather snacks. they are all natural and are high in fiber snacks. you can get all different kinds of fruits. raisins, or other dried fruits like apricots and cranberries, cranraisins.
