What forms of alternative therapy would you recommend for emotional problems?

Answer:
none -until you have had a full evaluation by a physician who has ruled out a medical cause for your symptoms.
talking it through, role playing, art therapy, etc.
Look into Occuptional Therapy. The root of many of your problems might be in sensory dysfunction.
Check out fhu.com. They are the best resource for dealing with all forms of emotional problems.
Exercise~! Yoga! Healthy Diet~! Meditation~!
a psychotherapist they can use drugs but often view drugs as not the cure but a band-aid while the real healing is going on in therapy. depending on your emotional problems there are many complementary therapies. proper diet and exercise and getting sun are the easiest ways to help with some issues as well as nutritional supplements. many might advocate st johns wort but it will actually cause your body to excrete medication faster which is bad if you want the medication to be there for a treatment of another problem. you should always consult with your pharmacist about any interactions. Journalling can be a good thing so you can get it all out and talk it over with yourself on paper. also getting involved with a group of some kind can help. you may want to put down what emotional problem you want help with and perhaps we can taylor our answers better.
i suggest you find inner peace. this may sound weirdest to you but honestly, the eventual loss of inner peace makes anyone distressed to the point of disaster.read inspirational books especially those about God and his relation to you. recognize your worth as a person, and most importantly as a son/daughter of God after which you will realize you don't deserve treating yourself or others cruelly.i have no idea what emotional problem you are experiencing right now. but i can assure you that it's only a matter of changing perspectives. see things objectively and listen to the voice inside you.
You did not specify what type of emotional problems. You see your emotional problems is hidden in the area called the soul.It is like a computer and gets fed since you are an infant, you might not even remember but sometime mothers/fathers/teachers or whoever is close to you will deposit some vegetative emotions, which is most of the times lies, into your soul area.Eventually you have become the product of their (the aforementioned) ignorance commends which you now have to deal with. Your emotional problems was then indirectly caused by people's ignorant words spoken into your life. What you need to do is called reprogramming like with a computer. How do you do that by getting yourself a focus point or a point of reference in other word the truth. The word of God says you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.So reprogram your soul area with God's Word, which is the truth and you will be set free.I strongly advise that you attempt to see a Godly Counselor for emotional problems needs to be dealt with just like physical illness
By alternative therapy for psychological situations I understand you are referring to Neurolinguistic Program (NLP), floral therapy, reiki, or any of those yogi techniques from Asia. I say so because alternative medicine or therapy is an umbrella to cover all sorts of mystical and quasi-medical modalities imported from Orient, and these comprise the sum of what you'll find there. The best alternative I would dare to recommend professionally is Christian Wholistic Psychology which is practiced by well-rounded educated christian individuals, and whose approach to emotional or psychological problems is very broad and non-dogmatic (because psychology sciences are full of scientific dogmas).
Talk to a therapist. Try St. Johns Wort. It helps with mood changes.
I suppose you probably alright seen a doctor or someone qualifed enough to tell about what your asking.. so it be ridiculous for me to tell you to go see one if you already did so! Therapy: Reiki, meditation, extreme emotion problem
hypnosis! Of course herbal teas might be all you really need: Chamomile, Valerian, St. Johns Wort, Hawthorn,
just one of these teas will help control emotions. Side effect is they may make you feel a tad sleepy! Avoid coffee if you have emotion problems. There is a tea that tastes almost like coffee which is called Morning Brew!
What sort of emotional problem do you have ? I would highly recommend Homeopathy for not just emotional disorders for everything, works like a charm and totally without any side effects or complications and perhaps the most affordable form of treatment. Feel free to email me if you need any help regarding Homeopathic Medicine.Take Care and God Bless !
1. Find out the root cause of the emotional upset and not just treating the symptoms on the outside.
2. Aromatherapy is very effective and therapeutic for nervous psychological problems by calming, relaxing and uplifting moods.
3. Treat your body to a relaxing aromatic massage which will result in your body producing more endorphins(happy hormones) to feel good.
in my country we use often emotional body therapy and an other alternative is kinesiology but i don't know of the first form is availeble in your country
I would suggest energy therapy such as EFT. EFT (emotional Freedom Techniques) is a drug free therapy that you can learn yourself - so you don't have to keep going to see a therapist. It is easy to learn and you can download a free manual from the EFT site. It really works extremely well on all sorts of problems, both emotional and physical. You can find out more from the web sites below.
