What is a good NATURAL way to fall asleep?
Answer:
eat honey as they say or lay in bed with a pet if no pet i`d do the honey!
i heard drinking warm milk before you go to sleep helps.
Stretch well right before.
Get tierd enough or if you can't sleep at night don't sleep all night and all day then when it will come 20:00 max. you will fall asleep for sure ... (these works if you can hold on not sleeping all day, of course, and you need to be active all day not to fall asleep use something like Red Bull energy drink or play some outdoor game ... or if your condition is far worse go see doctor...
If by natural you mean herbal compounds, then you have several choices. Valerian herb is a potent sleep inducer. You can buy it at a health food store or a hispanic grocery store. It smells pretty funky, but it is a very safe plant root that you chop up and soak in boiling water. You drink the tea and it makes you very sleepy within half an hour. Or you can go to the drugstore or health food store and buy melatonin - it is a natural supplement that induces sleep when taken each evening. Kava is another natural herb that can help. Chamomile tea is an excellent sleep inducer as well. There are many natural sleep inducers and you can find out about them by doing some research (see the link below). If you are talking about a non-herbal method - then i would suggest meditation or relaxation techniques - where you lay in a dark room and make your mind imagine a quiet, dark place with pleasant thoughts. If you think about/visualize laying in a calm field of grass or on a quiet beach for 15 minutes you will often fall asleep.
Two suggestions: One go for a short vigorous walk for 15 minutes and immediately lie down to go to sleep. Just like when we exert ourselves physically, we feel relaxed afterwards, so too here. BUT, don't do anything (such as reading, showering, talking on the phone, or watching TV) after the walk. Go right to bed. It really works.Second, in the evening, drink a cup of Roibbos tea. (from South Africa). It's very relaxing and has 20 times the antioxidents of Green tea, and no caffeine.Good luck,Dr. Frischman
If you can't get to sleep at night there are quite a few things that you can try. If you are not working out the extra exercise can be just what you ned to get to sleep at night. Not to mention all the other health benefit that go along with it.You could also try melatonin caps. It is chemical that occurs naturally in your brain and makes you want to go to sleep.You can also try meditation. Give yourself 10-20 minutes at the end of the day to just relax with your thoughts and clear your head. Give a few a of these a try and I'm sure you will find something that works for you.
Don't knock it til you try it.
You'll sleep like a BABY...!Take a medium size jar with an air-tight lid...now take 1 med. sized WHITE ONION dice it up and put it in the Jar, then press it down to squeeze out some of the juices from the meat of the onion.then put the lid on it tightly..{store it in the fridge. until your ready to use it.}
Now...about 35 minutes before your bedtime ...shake the jar vigorously then put the jar in your sleep area, remove the Lid and let the aroma fill the room until your ready to lie down, Close the Jar and put it back in the fridge. until the following evening. If you add them to your evening meal they will make you feel sleepy .If you have acid reflex problems from Onions, I recommend NOT LAYING DOWN for at least 1 hour ! Works Great...
Warm milk has triptophan in it, like turkey, so it naturally makes you sleepy. Chamomile tea is also naturally used for calming and relaxation. If you really want to amp it up, give yourself a warm oil massage on an old towel on the floor of your bathroom, meanwhile running a hot bath in which you have added a few drops of lavender essential oil and some epsom salts. Lavender is a very relaxing aromatherapy oil and epsom salts help to relieve any body aches. Before bed take a long super super slow, long inhale, pause, then exhale very, very slowly, repeat ten times. This is excellent for relaxation and also helps you sleep better.I'm getting sleepy just thinking about this! Sweet dreams!
