What is the best way to ease depression with out pills?

I've been depressed over some time now and I want to move on in life without the butden of stress and depress
Answer:
You should see my doctor. He is amazing! He will help with almost any problem you have.www.bmtheals.com check out the website and see what you think.
Exercise helps reduce symptoms of depression and a healthy diet couldn't hurt! Spend time with family and friends that you feel better around and (if at all possible) avoid those who are negative. If you are currently under the advisement of a doctor and are taking prescribed medicine...PLEASE consult your doctor before discontinuing any meds!
I, myself suffer from severe depression. I do not takes pills unless it gets really bad, like time to be put in the hospital. Best thing to do is stay away from people that have negative thoughts and talk negative all the time. Find some one to talk to about your problems. Some one that you can trust that will not go behind your back and talk to others about what you have told them. If you have to find a stranger that will listen to you. Depression is very hard to deal with. I try to keep to my self most of the time, when it is possible, but that is not really a good ideal to do that. Depression is a very serious thing.
Depression is a serious illness and requires the proper care.
You can go the medical route which would include counseling and medication. The 2 seem to both have good outcomes.
You can also try some over the counter supplements that may help as long as you are monitored by a medical doctor and counselor.
Some supplements cannot be taken with antidepressants and you should ask your pharmacist before taking them.1. 5 hydroxytryptophan take 200 mg at bedtime
2. B complex vitamin daily on a full stomach
3. Threonine 40-50 mg/day
4. Serine 20mg/day
5. Selenium 20-30 mcg/dayYou can also have a lab test you and see why exactly your "brain chemistry" is or may be unbalanced and they can develop a product to help re balance you.
The lab is called Sanesco. www.sanesco.net
Good Luck

I had a second bout of depression this past Jaunary and I was on an herbal antiderpressant (no side effects!!) for 2 months...The depression VANISHED once I started eating raw. Fruits and veggies...and taking supplements to build my immune system.I agree with other poster.EXERCISE!! All the studies show it increases the happy endorphins in your brain!

B-Complex and Stress Relief Complex
Depression is a nasty creature, it is very quiet and creeps up on you before you know it. Some of the other suggestions were very good, exercise, good dietary habits etc. However, depression is actually mostly a state of mind, in most cases it is because a person feels powerless to resolve the problems in their lives. When you have the answers to your problems you usually feel empowered. It also can be brought about because of hormonal imbalances. One remedy that might be helpful is Bach Flower Remedies which is generally used for emotional problems. Flower essences have been exceptionally effective for a wide range of emotional/spiritual imbalances. You should find a nice amount of information online about flower essences and they can be purchased in health food stores or on line. Peace.
