What is the best supplement/vitamin and what does it do for you?

I like Flax Seed oil - my doctor recommended it to me for my eye and skin problems and so far I believe it is working.
What is yours?I am interested in taking other supplements to feel better overall but I want to to know which ones are worth taking. I dont like MultiVitamins too much. Thank you all in advance!
Answer:
Typically recommend the following 5 products subject to other priority health concerns:
1) Food Enzymes (digestion is most important)
2) Anti-oxidants
3) Whole Food Formulas/Vitamins
4) Minerals
5) ProbioticsWe use coconut oil along with flax oil; we rotate between bottles.--

I really like flintstones chewables (or the generic store brands). I think they absorb better than the hard tablets that you swallow. It really gives me a lot of energy, and I think it helps my mood a lot, too.
I've been taking an immune booster Immune Alert for about the last year and have been amazed by the results. The main ingredient is an extract from baker's yeast that works to get the components of your immune system more ready to fight over the germs, virus, bacteria, etc. that you encounter in everyday life.My whole family has been taking it (me, my husband and 2-year-old son) and we love it. My son thinks the cherry chewable tablets are candy!! He started day care this year and while all the other kids are home sick all the time, the worst he has had is the sniffles. It's strange with a product like this because you don't really realize it is working until you look back and realize that the whole winter has passed and you weren't sick. You should check out their website -- www.immunealert.com. Unlike other similar supplements that people just think work, this one actually has scientific research to back it up. And it's all natural. Give it a try -- they are offering a free trial now so don't miss out.
I take Pure Aloe 450. It keeps me regular and really detoxes my system.
There is no certain one that is better then the other. You need them all. I take extra Vit. C and B6 for certain things. I try to eat good fresh stuff!
I like all natural multivit/mineral supplements, calcium, magnesium, B6, and probiotics. The combination works to alleviate migraines, restless legs, pms, mild depression, fatigue, etc.
I would like to include more flax seed oil and omega 3 in my diet as well but just don't want to take the supplements. You can only swallow so many pills. :)
Please bear in mind that we all have different nutritional requirements. However, I generally advise that everyone should consume:-1) Glyconutrients
2) Antioxidants
3) Multivitamin and mineral - and not a cheap one, those are just synthetic junk that flushes through your system without doing any good
In today's marketplace, there are only a few pharmaceutical companies that supply isolated chemicals (vitamins and minerals) to thousands of supplement companies worldwide. Yet, packaging and marketing is what truly separates these products. The ascorbic acid found in one company's product is the same ascorbic acid found in another company's product, and another, and another. Yet, these companies will all tell you that they have the "unique" formula, justifying their mark-up on price. Fancier packaging, greater advertising, higher or lower costs, does not change the undeniable fact that the product inside the bottle is from the same source. USP, or United States Pharmaceutical grade nutrients are all isolated fractions, synthetically made in pharmaceutical labs. This segment of the market is more than 95% of the supplements on the market worldwide. If you travel to Europe, to Britain, they will call "USP" nutrients "BP" nutrients. Take the cover off of the book, the contents are the same. Keep in mind that there are only a handful of pharmaceutical companies that supply the isolated nutrients throughout the world. Chelated Supplements- A small step above USP in terms of effectiveness, these end products are still not as found in nature. In example terms again: Ok, you give Michael Jorden another teammate, but just 1, you give Babe Ruth another teammate, but just 1. These two players may have a better chance in the game over an isolated player alone, but in competition in the real world, these incomplete teams are simply that, incomplete, therefore can and will not perform the same job as the complete team, as with in whole foods. Whole Foods- There are truly only a few companies that are selling whole food supplements, and an even smaller percentage of these companies that are using Re-Natured锟?nutrients. Re-Natured锟?br />
nutrients are in a class all by themselves. In their unique manufacturing process, The Grow锟?Company supplies the nutrients to the plants as they are growing, hence the name Grow锟?Company. This is what separates Grown By Nature from any other Whole Food Supplements out there, the incorporation of Re-Natured锟?nutrients. The benefit results in "Fully-Satisfied" fruits and vegetables during the Re-Naturing Process. What good is a whole food if it's lacking the essential vitamins and minerals from the beginning because the soil had been depleted? Please review the soil depletion page as well. If you have any questions as to what companies supply Re-Natured锟?br />
nutrients, please let us know and we will provide you with that information. Re-Natured锟?is one of a few trademarks used to describe these phenomenal nutrients. We use "Re-Natured锟?because that is the name most often quoted in the studies.
I don't whether you heard fo ITV or not, but they specialize in the sale of all natural whole food supplements. I am a firm believer in natural supplements as they do not included any synthetic vitamins or minerals. Check out the site and see what interest you. I personally take the sea vegg, vitassential, E8, Veggie Cal and the supreme Greens.www.itvventures.com/twalker

  1. Well,

Whole food supplements are all natural Whole Foods and food concentrates. They are not off the shelf supplements that have more toxic additives in the form of fillers or binders than the nutrients they claim to provide.
