A whole house water filter would do the job.
I did lots of research and found Aquasana to be the best filter. We use it for our drinking water and shower head. They also have full household systems. The problem with those is that the water is still traveling through all of your internal plumbing, so if you have issues with that, its not as good as getting it direct from the filter. Aquasana is having a huge sale until the end of the month too, and they have great customer service. I've used them for about 3 years.
