How do you relieve the sting of a fire ant?

Everytime one of them even touches my skin I get a fire like sting and a little bump.
Answer:
Hi Rey c, yes all correctly, fire ants inflict a fiery sting. After several hours a small white blister or pustule will form at the site of each sting. The blisters become itchy and are prone to infection if broken. So try real hard not to scratch them open.First that you can do - wash the area with soap and water, to rid the skin of any venom on it.Second - disinfect the area with alcohol. and apply some ice to the area to relieve the swelling and pain..Commercial products such as StingEze, calamine lotion, etc., will numb the area for a while. Or for an organic fire ant bite treatment, a thick paste of baking soda and water, or bleach and water, can reduce the pain and itching.Spraying a topical (cortisone) or taking a systemic (oral) antihistamine (like Benadryl) will help prevent allergic reactions and swelling.Check with the doctor if you have allergic reaction, swelling, or itching which does not answer a treatment to avoid serious injury.

To relive the sting of ANY bite, I usually tape on a penny to the bite for about 15 minutes. This stops any pain and itching for me. I am not sure how it works, but it does!
Spit on it and blow on it and then run in and put some baking soda on it and rub it in with a paper towel.
Ice it.
Ouch!! That hurts. So take a little meat tenderizer. Yup, that's right. Meat tenderizer. Add just enough water to form a paste and apply to the sting. You will be amazed how quickly you will find relief.
My niece was in Hawaii at the beach and was stung by something in the ocean. The pain was so intense. The life guard put this paste on the sting and she had immediate relief. I use it for bee stings, skeeter bites or whatever.
Hope it works for you.
Bleach water helps the sting, and can stop some of the blisters.
meat tenderizer mixed with a little water-i have it in my tackle box also -it is good for jeelyfish stinks-man-o-war stinks -do try it it does work
This answer may seem a little off, even in comparison to some of the other answers, but Windex stops the stinging and burning that comes with fire ant bites! Don't scratch at them because they'll itch worse.. Just spray some on any time you start itching and relax as it takes the burn away! It really does work. Rubbing alocohol also knocks the burn off as weel. Both of these should be rubbed on the skin, not just poured on.
If you live where there's course sand, rub the sand roughly on and around the area.
